    Thank you for information,

In our environment , Dual server , dual scheduler is there , tie breaker is not there. once primary server is got shutdown, DB Rollover happened , but EP Rollover is not happened. and process is not running  at that moment in second sever , I made shadow  scheduler as primary by changing the Role designator in secondary server.why EP rollover didn't happened and jobs are not running?

Tie breaker hasn’t been for the EP since R11.

It is for dual database mode.

    Hi Prashant,

Dual database and no tie-breaker? Is that even allowed? ☺ I’ve always remembered that tie-breaker is a must in (High Availability + Dual Server (HADS) mode. It makes sense that the EP_ROLLOVER didn’t happen, for it’s the tie-breaker that updates the databases about missing Schedulers. Think of the tie-breaker as a traffic cop

sorry, tie breaker is there but it  is not running in our environment. so in this scenario  EP_ROLLOVER  will not happen rite?

Correct. Primary or Shadow scheduler won't failover without the the tiebreaker.

In dual server mode if neither the primary scheduler nor the tie-breaker scheduler has updated the event server in two consecutive poll intervals, the shadow scheduler shuts down.

Chandru is correct. The tie-breaker is a key component of a HADS deployment. HADS being:

    HA High Availability Dual Scheduler

DS Dual (Event) Server - Event Server being the database

As Steve C. notes the tie-breaker is primarily for the DS portion of HADS.

A HADS configuration will not operate correctly 100% of the time without a tie-breaker installed and configured.
