  • 1.  many java instances under primary hub server

    we have noticed so many Java instances are running under primary hub server, Is it ok to kill all the instances and keep one and what the front end application in UIM that java supports,

     

    Due to this server memory utilization is going high very often, Any steps can be followed from UIM application front to reduce the memory utilization and keep the server performance good. ??

    Every java instance is a probe, don't kill them. Infact, increase resource if it is possible.

    Rajini,

     

    Satya is correct that each instance is for a probe.

    Easy to see this > IM console > 'Command' column > each java probe will have '<startup java>'

    Consider moving some of the probes which don't need to be at the primary to a robot.

    As a general statement probes of the Group System need to be on the primary, and monitoring probes don't.
