  • 1.  How to change Email address in User Profile?

    Is there a way to change a user email in PPM or On Demand once the user profile has been setup.  We use SSO and the email address is used for authentication.  When someone changes names, they are issued a new email address.  We've yet to figure out a way to change it in OnDemand or in PPM successfully and ultimately have to create a new profile and inactive the old one.

    1. Access the Clarity Portal https://ondemand.ca.com
    2. Select Control Panel
    3. Select Manage Applications
    4. Select your organization
    5. Select Assign Members in the desired environment (I would suggest to do this for Prod and any other env you have, to maintain consistency)
    6. Search for the relevant user
    7. Deselect the user checkbox
    8. Click on Update Assignments
    9. Select Users from the left hand panel of the Clarity Portal.
    10. Search for the relevant user
    11. Select Edit
    12. Update the relevant user data fields (e.g. Last name, email address, etc.)
    13. Select Save
    14. Navigate to the Clarity environment (application itself)
    15. Go to Administration > Resources, and search for the user
    16. Deselect the External Authentication checkbox
    17. Click Save and Return, and again access the user profile
    18. Edit the relevant fields (e.g. Last Name, email address, etc.)
    19. Select External Authentication checkbox and click Save and Return
    20. Access the Clarity Portal https://ondemand.ca.com
    21. Select Control Panel
    22. Select Manage Applications
    23. Select your organization
    24. Select Assign Members in the desired environment
    25. Search for the relevant user
    26. Select the user checkbox and click Update Assignments

    Thank you for the detailed steps – Unfortunately, after following them in detail, I get the below error in the on-demand Portal and am unable to save the changes.  The change I made in PPM seems to have stayed but the update is not saving in On-Demand.  Have you encountered this problem?  I’ll issue a ticket but curious if anyone else has issues.  We’re on 14.2
