  • 1.  System Unresolved DNS

    How to troubleshoot the "Unresolved DNS System" that appearing in the call in the Investigator?

     

    As attached image, are occurring peaks in the response time chart of backends. These peaks are identified as errors in DNS resolution.
    These occurrences can affect application performance?

    Check the IntroscopeEnterpriseManager log file that the agent reports to and see if you see a similar message below. 

     

    [WARN] [IntroscopeAgent.DnsServiceExecutor] Failed to obtain host name in 200 ms.  Consider changing property introscope.agent.dns.lookup.max.wait.in.milliseconds

     

    If you do see that message, then update the below property to a higher value, for example 1000.

     

    introscope.agent.dns.lookup.max.wait.in.milliseconds=1000
