  • 1.  Spectrum scripts to dump router config files

    Posted Sep 07, 2016 03:56 AM

    Hi there,

Site is introducing the following devices and the normal Spectrum scripts don't seem to be able to dump the host configurations.  Has anybody created scripts to dump the configuration files for the following devices:

    Cisco IE 2000 series switches.

    Cisco 800 Series Routers.

Cisco 1000 Series Connected Grid Routers.

Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers

I receive the SPC-OCC-11662: Operation is not possible for this device. If the device supports this operation a script must be configured on the device family.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Regards and thank you in advance

It sounds like you have these devices in a custom NCM family which means that you would need to utilize your own scripts to capture the config.

However, there might be a way around that…

What are the system object ids of the devices?  If the device config is similar/same as a certification we have already done except the sysoid is different (from a firmware upgrade or new device but same firmware version), you may be able to get around this by following the steps in this tech doc:

    Hope that helps
