We are wanting to do a POC of the new Web Services Feature in IDMS Rel 19.  Has anyone set this up where the Consumer is and ADS Dialog?

I know IDMS and ADS, not ral proficient in Server Technologies.  Trying to set up a Proof of Concept where an ADS Dialog is the Consumer and an Oracle Database is the Receiver. General Questions answered and Direction appreciated.  Thanks  Larry Welch

    Larry,

The consumer demo supplied is written in ADS.  Also see:

    Larry,

Just a little more.  You would have to set-up a provider program that uses your Oracle database and Soap 1.1 so that the corresponding ADS consumer could be compatible with it.  The consumer and provider would need to use the same soap envelope structure in order to be able to communicate and exchange data.  Hope this makes some sense.

    Hi Larry,

John's comments are spot-on...   I would suggest you get the demo Consumer/Provider services running on one or more CV's and go from there.   Documentation on the CA IDMS Web Services offering can be found on the CA DocOps Wiki site at: Using Web Services - CA IDMS - 19.0 - CA Technologies Documentation .
