I got  questions about the KEEP LONGTERM NOTIFY  dml.

    a. Does the statement recognize records being touched by batch programs running in protected update mode ?

    b. Are notifies released when a DC session is timed out?,  in general what is the retention of KEEP LONGTERM NOTIFY's if they are not released?

    A. Yes.

    B. Keep longterm should be retained as long as you are logged in, also the keep longterm notify.  So if a user is timed out, the keep longterm notify should be gone as well.

You can use LOCKMON to watch/monitor KEEP LONGTERM activity.
