    We need to monitor services (windows and application) and event viewer on  servers.

    Which probes should be used and how to do it ??

    For monitoring Windows Event Logs you will want to take a look at the ntevl probe:

     

    ntevl (NT Event Log Monitoring) - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Documentation 

     

    For Services you can use ntservices:

     

    ntservices (Microsoft Windows NT Services Monitoring) - CA Unified Infrastructure Management Probes - CA Technologies Do… 

     

    both probes are relatively straightforward.
