    Hi Team,

I am installing CA BSI r8.3.5 server on windows server 2008 r2 enterprise edition. During installation, for the following screenshot (for database creation):

I provided the following inputs for the above screen:

    Database folder: D:\app\Administrator\product\11.2.0\dbhome_2

    Database service name: orcl

    Schema user name: sys

Password: "The password provided during installation of oracle"

After this, it is able to create the database successfully, but gives error during tablespaces and users creation as per the following screenshots:

What needs to be done to resolve this error?

    Kindly provide the suggestions.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi

at first we have to know, what is exactly the (oracle) error message - see more information in you log file: “d:\app\administrator\cfgtoollogs\dbca\orcl.log”

bay the way – you can also check if you have an enough disk space on D:\

or get more log information in the C:\Windows\CABusinessServiceInsight_8.3.5_msi.log or “%BSI path%\Log\”

    Hi Besim,

Yes I got the root cause of the error. Through installer, the bat file (for installation of database) was not able to pick up the password of the sys user in oracle. So I installed database manually after providing the parameters in start_parameters.ini file. After that, the database was installed successfully.

    Thanks & Regards,
