  • 1.  SPEC 10.1.1 - How long will measure-results of spm be stored?

    Hi all,

we enabled SPM for measuring ICMP RTT.

Now with digging deeper into the SPM topic, the question arises, how long the results of a test will be stored in DB.

Are there any configuration issue to keep in mind?

    Thanks for any feedback.

I believe the results of the test are stored in the Archive Manager (DDM) database. So, they will be stored according to the value of the MAX_EVENT_DAYS parameter in the $SPECROOT/SS/DDM/.configrc file. Out of the box default is 45 days.

Not 100% sure if they are stored in the Spectrum Report Manager (SRM) database. If so, then they will be stored according to the retention period setup for that database.

I see, we can generate reports against RTT (round trip time) for ICMP tests using report manager. That means, the results will also be stored in SRMDB and they will be available based on the retention period set for SRMDB.
