  • 1.  XOG IN of Transactions is an issue?

    Posted Sep 27, 2016 02:53 AM

    Hi All,

    Just a question.

Is there any issue in uploading the bulk xog in of Transactions?

We have to upload around 250 transaction in Environment and just wanted to check what are the Pros and Cons doing via xog.

Please provide your feedback or suggestion.

    Warm regards,

    Angad Anand

    Hi Angad,

Xogging in transactions is a common thing which has been done by many customers and this is a supported way of importing data into Clarity.

If at all there is a problem in the file, the system will not let the transactions to move from invalid transactions (imp_transactioniport) to post to Wip (ppa_transcontrol)  .

    Thanks,

    Jerin

    Thanks Jerin for the response.

I have already created all transaction via Transaction Entry in DEV environment and thinking to xogout the transaction and upload in other environment.

Is there any risk doing this way xog in? Can we xogout vocher entry of transaction ?

    Warm reagrds,

But, correct me if I am wrong. I don't think you can use the same file that you get out of XOG Out, to XOG back In.

Yes Jeevan. I won't be doing the same xml xog-in in other environment.

    Thanks Jerin and Jeevan.

Could you please tell us significance of 'EXTERNALID' during XOGIN transaction as it is mandatory and we can't XOG transaction with externalid. For the bulk upload we can give any static externalid or it is being used anywhere. Please provide your input on the same.
