  • 1.  CA PPM 14.2 EVM 0/100 Earned Value at Task Level

We are using Clarity PPM 14.2 and trying to use the EVM processing for that application.  We have setup some projects in our development environment with the 0/100 EVM calculation method.  However, when we complete tasks in the project and run the Update Earned Value and Cost Totals job, it does not calculate an earned value for that portion of the project.  The CA documentation does not specifically indicate that earned value is calculated at the task level.  We would like to use the 0/100 calculation method at the task level.  Does anyone know the appropriate settings in CA to make that happen?

    Hi.

Did you create a baseline for the project that you want to see EVM?

Which column in specific you want to see?

Maybe you don't create a baseline for the projects that you want to use EVM, or you create the baseline before some tasks modifications.

Well in both situations y recommend to create a new baseline and mark as active.

    Hope that helps.

Yes, we have an active baseline for the project and it was created before we completed some of the tasks we are expecting to see earned value on.  The column we are expecting to see the earned value reflected in is the "Earned Value (BCWP)" column.  I will try and create a new baseline and see what happens.

    Thanks!
