Is there anyway to monitor the output of a linux command in UIM using any probes ?Whether logon can achieve this..

Yes, logmon in the tool to do this. It has a command mode where instead of specifying the log file to inspect, you specify the command to execute. 

Careful with special characters in the command line and make sure the shell you use imports the necessary environment because depending on how the robot was started, the execution environment might be pretty sparse.
