  • 1.  Best practice to make a complete back up copy of SPECTRUM

    Posted Oct 03, 2016 04:35 AM

Hello, I am trying to document the upgrade of Spectrum 9.3 to H4 hotfix, because Java certificate will be expired. I am reading the documentation and the link "What is the best practice to make a complete back up copy of SPECTRUM" not work. Anyone remember how was the rall back after Spectrum upgrade?

    Thanks!

This link worked for me just now: Knowledge Base Articles

If that isn't working for you, the short version is that you should shut down spectrum completely, including processd, sradmin, notifier, any integrations, etc.  Copy $SPECROOT using something that will preserve file permissions and ownership (eg, cp -p on a Linux host).  On Solaris or Linux, you'll also need to backup Spectrum contents that were installed in /opt, /sw, and /etc.
