We would like to use the differentiation between Approvals and Implementations in the Identity Portal. The Approve/Reject buttons are replaced with a single Implement button for implementations. We have some situations where the Implementation cannot be completed, so we'd like to be able to have a Reject button with the implement button. How can we accomplish that in Identity Portal?

    Hi Scott,

Please forgive me, perhaps I'm misunderstanding something here:

Originally you are saying that Portal is coming with Approve/Reject buttons. You replaced them with a single button called: Implementation but now you need the Reject again.

If so, why not simply use the original two buttons in the first place?   Am I missing here?

In Identity Portal, there are two task tabs: Approvals and Implementations. In the workflow, you can set a flag that marks that task/node as an Implementation task.

When you do that, Identity Portal interprets the task as an "implementation" and it shows up under the Implementation tab instead of the Approvals tag. It also swaps out the Accept/Reject buttons for a single Implement button. These seem to be automatic responses that Identity Portal has to that flag in the workflow.

We would like to have some tasks show up under the Implementation tab, but we don't want to lose the option of rejecting. Ideally, we'd like two buttons (Implement, Reject) instead of the one Implement button without losing the functionality of it showing up under Implementation.

So the question is: can we have one effect of the implementation flag and not the other?

You are right by documentation can change the default behavior of a task from Approval to Implementation type with a flag, and this type only allow have the implementation button. Please, may you open a support case for this question it will be more appropriate checked internally CA channels
