Hi there, we are trying to test the new UI for projects and timesheet. reading the caWiki, when you add the new UI, the timesheet icon on the traditional ppm its gone.

In the new one, its on the botton left, below the project icon.

Now, we have the following message when we click the timesheet: "No time periods available."

Did we miss something in the process?

    Kind Regards,

    Pablo

    Did you follow this ?

Enable the New User Experience for Project Management and Timesheets

A New User Experience is available for project managers, resource managers, and team members. The team can work in the New User Experience or in Classic CA PPM. We recommend that the team uses either the new timesheets or the Classic timesheets, but do not switch between both.

    Follow these steps:

    1. Open Administration, and from General Settings, click System Options.
    2. Under New User Experience, select Activate New User Experience
This option provides a global switch that controls whether the New User Experience is accessible to users. If you do not activate this option and a user tries to access the New User Experience using the following URL, they are redirected to Classic CA PPM.
      http(s)://<servername>/pm
    3. (Optional) To enable the new timesheet user interface, select Activate Timesheets and click Save.
This option provides a global switch that controls whether the new timesheets are accessible to users. To activate the new timesheets, first activate the New User Experience. If you activate the Timesheets option, the following changes take place:
      • The timesheet menu link is removed from Classic CA PPM.
      • The Current Timesheet icon is removed from Classic CA PPM.
      • In Administration, Project Management, Timesheet Options - Default Content and Layout section, the following columns are removed from the 'Available Columns' field:
        • Task ID
        • Short Name
        • Parent
        • Parent ID
        • Phase ID
        • Start
        • Finish
        • Posted Actuals
        • Baseline
        • Role
        • Incident Category
        • Notes Icon
        • The Investment, Investment ID, and Phase fields remain, but they are not needed to configure the new timesheets. The data for these fields is automatically incorporated into the new timesheets.
      • In Administration, Project Management, Timesheet Options - Default Time Entry Options section, the following fields are removed:
        • Default Sorting
        • Disable Indirect Time Entries
        • Enable Note Date
        • The remaining fields are reset to stock default values. It is important to revisit this section again after activating the new timesheets.
      • Timesheet notifications are sent from the New User Experience.
      • Users can create timesheets in the New User Experience only.

    Hi.

Did you check if resource properties has marked the attribute "Open Time Entry" and "Track mode" in Clarity?

Check is standard timesheets is showing info, the new UI should exactly the same info as the standard timesheet view.

If someone has showing different info i would recommend to open a ticket with CA support.

    Hope that helps.

    Antonio

Just looking at the message "No time periods available."

Did you create time reporting periods and are they open for time entry?
