Trying to solve a functional manager’s request to report on their direct reports who work on different scrum teams. Example Functional QA manager, their direct reports are spread among several teams, wants status of just their employees.
Ideally they love the Team Status report but you can't filter by a custom list of team members.  In the short-term I spun up a simple Custom List with the query (...(Owner.UserName = "x") or (Owner.UserName = "x")or ... but they really like the capacity metric within the Team Status.
Any ideas how to leverage the metrics and overall display of the team status but with a different "team" make up?
 

We've had this same request and the only solution we've ever offered is the one that you already implemented. We had to explain to functional managers that Agile team metrics are really only relevant in the context of a true Agile team, not a random assembly of individual contributors who happen to report to the same functional manager. Probably not the answer you were looking for but I hope that it helps.
