Hi,

I created a date type attribute for idea object called "evaluation date" and defined default for it as today. Also I selected it as read only for users not to update the field.

I also modified the idea property view and selected override default with also "today".

When I open the page the field is there without showing the default value? What should be the reason? How can I fix it?

Is this issue on existing ideas? If so, update the attribute to "Populate Null Values with the Default". To do this go to the Idea object, then click on the attribute you created and check the check box next to "Populate Null Values with the Default". If that doesn't help, what version of PPM is this on? I did a test and your configuration works correctly for new ideas in my PPM version. The Populate check box was the one thing that I found additional that was needed for existing ideas.
