Are you looking to do this for only a subset of events or ALL events?  If it’s only a subset one solution would be to modify those events and put in an event condition rule that looks for CollectionsModelNameString (0x12adb) and when it matches generate a new event that generates an alarm.    If it’s all events, I can’t think of any easy way to do it…

    Cheers

    Hi Isaac08,

What event are you doing it with?

You can use the Event Configuration gui to create an event rule on your event.  Set it so that if “Attribute ID” “0x12adb” “Equal To” “String” “the name of your GC” and have it generate a new event (ie. 0xfff0000).  Have that new event mapped to an alarm.

Then clear the criterion and change the “operator” to “Default” and have it generate a default event (ie. 0xfff0001).  Have event 0xfff0001 not alarm (you may want to log the event though)

    Cheers

Instead of using “Attribute ID” “0x12adb” “Equal To” “String” “the name of your GC”, try “Attribute ID” “0x12adb” “Regular Expression” “String” “the name of your GC”

Did you create your custom events?  You have specified to use 0xfff00000 and 0x0fff0001.  You have to create those in the main ECEditor window (or you could do it from command line, but it’s much easier with the GUI)…

    Praveen,

Can you check if the custom events are there under custom/events/cseventformat directory?
