  • 1.  ideal line on burn down chart lower than total to do hours

    The ideal line on my burn down start much lower that the total hours to do on day one of the iteration. Does anyone know why this happens or what drives the ideal line? I read that it was the total of either the task to do or task estimates - whichever is more but this doesn't appear to be the case in the example below.

    Hey Kristy, after reading this help article about 40 times: Progress Charts | CA Agile Central Help  I think that what most likely happened here is the To Do Hours or the Task Estimate were set at day 1 of your iteration. Then, as the iteration went on, there may have been a change in the To Do hours which lowered the blue bar at the start of the iteration. However, the ideal line is set where it was on Day 1. I think
