Hi Ayush,
You can install sqlserver probe on any robot to monitor a remote or local (recommended) instance of Microsoft SQL Server database.
1. You can configure all the instance of Microsoft SQL Server database to single sqlserver probe means from one server you can monitor all DB server instances.
2. You can configure on each database server, means you need to deploy sqlserver probe on each DB server.
In case of 2 scenario :
You can try as follows -
1. Configure sqlserver probe on one of the system along with all your DB monitoring metrics.
2. Once everything is configured as per monitoring, copy sqlserver probe to archive and select configuration only and rename the package name from sqlserver to your required name [sqlserverXXXX].
This will create configuration from the sqlserver probe only.
3. Deploy sqlserver probe on each DB server.
4. Once sqlserver probe is deployed on each server, then deploy your sqlserver [sqlserverXXXX] configuration on each DB server.
5. Go to each DB server and update the instance name or credentials as per DB server to respective sqlserver probe. Other metrics details will be automatically updated from your configuration [sqlserverXXXX].
[We cannot avoid the step 5.]
