    What factors to consider to decide on to go with CA API Gateway Appliance installation or Software installation? which is the recommended mode of installation and why?

    And we are expected to install API Gateway on Amazon Machine Image (AMI). Recommendation with a proper reasoning is appreciated.

    Hi Kareem,

    I would recommend CA API Gateway Appliance installation as the system had been tuned. Software installation only for the env that cannot have VM, and you need to take care of the OS and database yourselves.

    The gateway image on AMI should be a virtual appliance gateway.

    Thanks for a quick reply Mark. We will check the installation process of CA API Gateway Appliance. I have seen some good documentation from CA on installation and configuration. This information helps us to concentrate on one mode of installation.
