How to remove certain character from a string input

Hi,

 

 I am getting below message as an input to one of my policy:

The message contains "/n" characters, which I want to remove before processing. However when I am trying to do so (using replace tag contents assertion), gateway is considering it as newline and inserting a newline before conversion. I actually want to make the above input as text given below before processing (removal of all \n characters):
