Plex 2E

Hello, 

someone uses Plex 7.1 on IBM i V7R3? We want to upgrade from V7R1 to V7R3 soon.

Are there any known issues?

Is IBM i V7R3 supported by Plex 7.2.1? The System Requirements - CA Plex - 7.2.1 - CA Technologies Documentation is confusing: V5R4, 6.1, 7.1, 7.2 or 7.2.1?

Hello Bernd,
the current supported version of System I within Plex 7.x is 7.2. The upcomming 7.3 certification is currently not available but will be done.
Actually CA Plex r7.2.1 is not certified with V5R4 and IBMi 6.1 as well, as they were already End of Support by 2015.

Bernd was correct in his use of naming, CA must take the lead as the vendor to show understanding of the IBM landscape that they support!

The IBM System i is IBM's previous generation of midrange computer systems for IBM i users, and was subsequently replaced by the IBM Power Systems in April 2008

But System i references the hardware and what this question is about the operating system so please use the correct names so in this case " current supported operating system version of Power system  for Plex 7.x is IBM i 7.2"

Please refer to the CA Plex Compatibility Matrix for Supported releases to answer questions about IBM i (i.e. i OS) compatiblity.

The section of this matrix titled, "Plex - IBM i Compatibility" will corroborate the information that Norbert has given you about the versions of i OS that we currently support in Plex 7.2.1 and 7.1.

Does someone already uses plex 7.1 on IBM i V7R3, althouge it's officialy not supported? Are there any known issues (do's and don'ts)?

Hi Bernd, did you go to V7R3 with Plex 7.1 ?  if so is it working correctly for the Listener?  any problem for users ?
