  • 1.  Need access for the gateway?

    Hi All

     

    I am currently working on CA API Gaeway and do have access for the Poliyc Manager UI but dont have access for the backend Gateway. My question is -- Is it really necessary to have the backend Gateway access and if yes can someone please tell me the valid reasons why i need gateway access when i can perform admin activities from Policy Manager UI.

    Hi Praty,

     

    You would typically need direct access to the gateway server to start/stop the gateway application, obtain log files, apply patches, make configuration changes etc.

     

    I guess it depends on what exactly your role is with the gateway ... If you need to perform any of the above actions then

    you should have direct access to the gateway server directly.
