Increasing field length has been asked several times.

Is the situation the same with custom attributes: can you increase the length of custom attributes?

Just did a test in 13.3 and there was no apparent problem.

The old data was still there and there was room for longer entries. Even in the virtual field of the child object and the the db field lenght was displaying the new length.

We have always been able to increase the length of custom attributes (that old thread even says so).

We can't change the definition of stock attributes at all though - which is reasonable I think.

So the answer is No update.

The length of custom attributes can be increased as before and

the length of OOTB attributes cannot as before.
