In Rally I'm trying to set up a Kanban board following the documentation. I've created a custom field to use for my status field. But when I create the board my custom field is not appearing in the drop down window.
I thought of another possibility. When the field was created was it created with identical name and options for both User Stories and for Defects? Also, is it a standard drop field or a multi-value drop down?
Hi Stefan! As long as the Custom Field is a Drop Down field you should be able to go to the Settings for the Kanban Board and select in the Columns drop down list. If the field isn't a drop down then it wouldn't be available, also you can't use custom fields for the Portfolio Item Kanban Board. If the field is a drop down field type please confirm because it might be better that we open a case for you to continue to troubleshoot.

Thanks for your suggestions. When I took a look at this today the custom field was properly populating. Maybe there is some overnight process that needed to run? (guessing) Anyways I'm good now, thanks!
