    Introduction:

    Having extented ODBC traces is useful to debug problem with ODBC components.

    Configure it on Windows 2012 is slightly different from 2003/2008 versions. We already provided a technote for those platforms but the procedure doesn't work on windows 2012.

    Extended tracing helps you to add a timestamp in the ODBC logs to match PS Logs/traces.

    Instructions:

    To get the ODBC traces with timestamp (extended tracing) on windows 2012 R2 with PS 32 bit (12.52SP2) following this :

    1. Copy the <siteminder_install_dir>/bin/nstrc28.dll to C:\Windows\SysWOW64;
    2. In the ODBC tracing tab, select the dll above;
    3. In the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ODBC\ODBC.INI\ODBC add the String: TraceOptions Value: 3 Type REG_SZ
