  • 1.  DSM web console configuration

    Hi All,

I was trying to login on DSM web console to access patch manager but it is giving error. Checking at the domain name on login screen, it is different from which I have configured at the time of installation for winnt.

When I select ldap, then correct domain is reflecting but the same is access denied for the object. Is there any way to change the domain configuration manually or I have to reinstall them (DSM Web console, web services, Patch Manager) ?

    Regards,

    Mohd

are you referring to the windows domain field?

This is either your Manager or your Domain. (not to be confused with DM)

creds should be the same as for the DSM Explorer.

If you right click on the DM at top level in tree in DSM Explorer and select disconnect and then do same and select connect as can you use your creds to connect to dsm explorer?

    Hi Richard,

I am referring to windows domain field. I am able to connect and disconnect using same cred but when using web console it is giving server or different domain to connect.

    Regards,

    Hi Richard,

I have tried to re-install patch manager by uninstalling from add or remove but it is giving error as "only one instance of patch manager is allowed per manager". After that it rolled back.

There is no entry for CA DSM Patch Manager in Add or Remove Programs.

When I login to web console it is showing Patch Management without Administration tab.

Can you please guide me to re-install the same.

    Regards,
    Mohd

    Hi,

Is the manager correct in the comstore ?

ccnfcmda -cmd GetParameterValue -ps itrm/adminconsole -pn manager

Otherwise you could change it with :

ccnfcmda -cmd SetParameterValue -ps itrm/adminconsole -pn manager -v new_value

    See

    Thanks
