Creating custom objects like Task -> Assignments

I am trying to create two nested Objects under Projects e.g.

Projects -> Obj1(child of Project) ->Obj2(grand child of Project) (Created)

I would like to create a page for Obj1 and have section for object2

The data entry I would like to achieve is similar to how tasks and assignments works:

On Obj1 data entry page - Once user enters the data and saves it. (Like Task)

The system should allow user to start adding Performing Orgs to it(Like assignments)

Is this feasible or we cant achieve this functionality via custom objects.

"I would like to create a page for Obj1 and have section for object2" - no we can't do that (at least not like how assignments appear below the task details) - the data entry for object2 within object1 would look the same as the data-entry for object1 within the project.
