Hi,

We are aware that the version of Dashboard Designer is already deprecated with UIM version  8.2.

How do we ensure it keeps working post the upgrade?

Hi Deepika,

the Legacy 'Dashboard Designer' and 'Custom Dashboards' portlets cannot be used in UIM 8.4.x.

You will need to use the The Dashboard Portlet - CA Unified Infrastructure Management - 8.4.7 - CA Technologies Documentation

The deprecated portlets no longer work starting with UIM 8.4.

Hi Deepika,

In addition to my colleague's comments, take in consideration that the old legacy dashboards (if present) are migrated when you upgrade so they are still viewable and can be opened in the new dashboard portlet. They may require some reconfiguration and they do not include the navigation window that used to be present on the left side of the Dynamic Views page/window.

Hello,

We have performed the upgrade, however facing challenges wrt the Dashboard. The sticky note does provide us the warning messages.

A lot of alarm widgets are not visible now, and when trying to link them from the navigator, that is of no help.

We are also trying to import the previously saved dashboard files but it asks for a 'definition' file.

Turns out that now the files are *.json format while earlier they were xml.

Any help here, we wish to avoid recreating the widgets again and are good to go for reconfigurations but dont know how.
