  • 1.  message from webpage warning - Advanced reporting

    Posted Dec 16, 2016 02:36 AM

    Hi,

When clicking to view reports under Advanced Reporting, I am getting below message from webpage.

"You need a browser that supports XMLHttpRequest Object. Moziala build has this object, IE 5 and above , others may do. I don't know, any info jim@jibering.com".

I have IE 11 and proper document mode, still facing this issue, while some of my colleagues don't. I reset the IE settings but no luck.

As we are bound to use IE only, any ideas would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Manisha

    Hi Manisha,

Can you please check the document mode. If its defaulted to 5 you will see this problem.

    Hi Suman,

yes, it's defaulted to 5, even for the ones for whom it's working.

Moreover, changing via F12 developer tools from 5 to 8(or any other) is also not working. It's again getting set to 5.

    Could you help on this?

    Thanks,

    Manisha

    Hi ManishAG

Check the Advanced Setting of EI browser:

    "Enable native XMLHTTP support".

Now when the issue itself seems to get resolved, can you at CA kindly change the message to look more professional, especially the latter part of it?

"You need a browser that supports XMLHttpRequest Object. Moziala build has this object, IE 5 and above , others may do. I don't know, any infojim@jibering.com"

    Hi Aurora,

Thanks for providing the solution. I will work on this part along with Jaspersoft also to get this resolved. It definitely looks bad messaging.

    Hi Thomas,

I tried to reproduce removing the native XMLHTTP support but couldn't, looks like along with this setting there are something some which is causing this.
