In you portfolio you can add how much actually you get as Benefit for that specific portfolio. That's actually what you should enter in your "distributed target" so you can compare and try different What-if scenarios and check your waterline.

So, it's kind of the same concept like Role and Cost. In your distributed target you always enter what you get or you think you will get in case you want to rank in different scenarios.

This distributes target will be used in you waterline tab to show what investment can be done/delivered or not based on your targets.

Thanks for your response, it really helped.

    Some more questions,

    1) What is the difference between Target, Distributed target and distributed target(total) ?

    2) How distributed target is defined? is it the sum of all budgeted benefit plan of individual investment in the portfolio?

    3) When I put some value in distributed target(total), the value is distributed among the months. How is this distribution done?

    Thanks & Regards,

    1) What is the difference between Target, Distributed target and distributed target(total) ?

    - Target is what's estimated from all investments.

    - Distributed targets is what you actually will get.

    - Distributes target (total) should equal the distributed target (which is read only). You can either edit the "total" or "each month".

    2) How distributed target is defined? is it the sum of all budgeted benefit plan of individual investment in the portfolio?

    - it's the total amount all investments in portfolio, not individuals.

    3) When I put some value in distributed target(total), the value is distributed among the months. How is this distribution done?

    - if you have 12 months, it's divided by 12. So, it will be distributed equally by default. However, user can always edit specific months or times periods manually. The "total" will be updated automatically too.
