Hello Community,
I'll like to know if there's a way i can get the manager of a user from active directory and set it on the supervisor field on the organizational info of the user in Service Desk Manager.
Regards,
Jason.
Hi Jason,
You should be able to do this using the ldap.maj/ldap.mod file to map the fields between SDM and LDAP. Take a look at this section of the documentation for more info on mapping fields:
How to integrate CA SDM with LDAP - CA Service Management - 14.1 - CA Technologies Documentation
Let us know if this helps,
Thanks,
Jon I.
Lindsay_Estabrooks provided a great solution for this here, https://communities.ca.com/message/98640156?commentID=98640156#comment-98640156 . It's not possible to map the ldap manager field to the sdm supervisor field directly as the data needs to be converted from the ldap_dn value to a the supervisors id.
