Test Data Manager

  • 1.  Promoting changes to production

I would like to find out what other TDM users are doing to promote changes from TDM development environment (Projects, Data Groups, etc.) to production in regular intervals(Weekly, monthly etc.).

Backup and restore of the database works, DACPAC approach works but they are too database centric. Any ideas on doing this through Datamaker copy repository or other options?

    Thanks,

    Harish

    Hi Harish,

Since this is something that will continually be talked about and updated, may we change this from a 'question' post to a 'discussion' post? This way other TDM users (and not just CA employees) will know to respond to it.

Also, if you no other TDM customers respond, I recommend reaching out to your CA Account Manager. They can get in touch with members of our CA Services and Pre-sales teams who have been on site with other customers and can tell you what they have experienced in regards to promoting changes to production.

If you do not know who your CA Account Manager is, please call CA Customer Care at one of these numbers and they will be able to tell you: Contact CA Support - CA Technologies

    Best regards,

    Taylor
