Folks,

We will update our environment from UIM/UMP 8.2 to UIM/UMP 8.47

I have some doubts about UMP.

After the update, what is the version of LifeRay?

After the update, we will need to create again all Groups/ACL/permissions/Users on USM ?

After the update, we will need to create again all Reports and SLA reports, rules on USM?

If yes, there is a way to export reports, users and configs before update?

For 8.4.7 I see its Liferay Portal Enterprise Edition 6.1.30 EE

Upgrade from 8.2 to 8.4.7 is pretty straight and I do not think you would need to recreate any groups,ACL's ,users or reports after the upgrade.

We have done a upgrade recently from 8.2 to 8.4.7 recently and didnt really had to do any of the above .

Anyways its always good to have a backup of the recommended config before upgarde

The upgrade process from 8.2 --> 8.47 is fairly straightforward.

The big thing to remember, with all upgrades, is to take backups of (at least) the following:

> FULL database

> FULL /nimsoft/ directory on primary server

> FULL /nimsoft/ directory on UMP server

> FULL /nimsoft/ directory backups of any other important components - i.e. snmpcollector hub, etc.
