  • 1.  What causes the WBS_PARSEQ field to be set as NULL?

    Hello,

     

    Our Business is unable to open Gantt chart for a project and we found that it is because "WBS_PARSEQ" field of PRTASK table is set to NULL. This is with reference to the CA article https://www.ca.com/us/services-support/ca-support/ca-support-online/knowledge-base-articles.tec1950552.html  

     

    We see that this has occurred twice already in this week and though we have a solution to this issue by deleting the affected tasks, what is the root cause for this null value (as WBS_PARSEQ is a system maintained field). What can be done to prevent tasks from being updated with NULL PARSEQ value?

    Opening project planning with OWB maybe causing the issue.

    You can always log a ticket with CA support to troubleshoot for the exact root cause.
