  • 1.  Enterprise Dashboard of null

    a user is trying to setup v 9.1 (talking to a 9.1 dashboard), and is getting this error.

    they can ping the dashboard IP address. 

     

    I will work with them tomorrow to debug, just looking for guidance.  

     

    My 9.1 instance works perfectly.  their lisa.properties has the right info, matching mine

    Can you give us the error details. Are you able to start EnterpriseDashboard and access ED console?

    ED is running just fine. version 9.1

    When you say they are able to ping the machine using its IP address, do you mean they are trying to connect to Dashboard using its hostname? or is it failing with IP address as well while opening the ED console?

     

    Can you please try pinging the ED machine using its hostname from your user's machine?

    the ED does not have a hostname. I will confirm that they can ping the server from their system today. 

    another user in the same location CAN start 9.1 without problem.

    ok, this turned out to be a permissions problem. installed as Admin, tried to run as User
