  • 1.  Tech Tip: Fatal Datamaker user logon error- No valid project assigned

    Issue: 

    When attempting to log into Datamaker, I am getting the following error message:

     

    FATAL ERROR: CA Test Data Manager-Datamaker User Logon 
    No valid project (with at least one version) has been assigned to this user! 

     

    Environment:  

    CA Test Data Manager (TDM)- Datamaker

     

    Cause: 

    This error message occurs when one of the user groups you might have been assigned to was incorrectly created or configured. This is why you are unable to login successfully. 

     

    Resolution:

    To resolve this issue you can have another user create a new project and give you admin rights to the project. This should enable you to login successfully, create sub-projects, and assign users to projects.

    Please note that there are many Datamaker login errors that start with 'FATAL ERROR: CA Test Data Manager-Datamaker User Logon' and support is actively working to write knowledge documents for each one.
