    Hello, I´m installing tim on a vmwave esxi vm centos 6.5 box with apm 10.5 (introscope/acc/em) to lab purpose.

    All work ok, but when I install tim, I receive two errors about cpu speed and free disk space (I now I´m below the memory and the resources) but it finish and start the services.

    At his point I try to access to http://localhost/cgi-bin/ca/apm/tim/index but when I enter the the default user and password (admin/quality) but I cannot login to the interface.

    The vm machine have 8 gb ram 175 gb free of hdd, two virtual nics and 8 core.

    This lab it´s for internal use and education, not for production.

    I´m trying to reinstall tim, reviewing the logs to know what happen, but some times I receive from this url : This site can´t be reached.

    Without that I cannot monitor the apps transactions.

    I´ll appreciate your help.

    If you run ps -ef can you see the tim process running?  Anything in the tim logs?

    Hello,

    Yes.. It´s running

    At this point I can have access to http://localhost/cgi-bin/ca/apm/tim/index but I cannot log in.

    I using CA EEM to authenticate CEM and Webview login. This login from the tim url will also are checked by EEM?

    Is there an error message with something about the webrequest id? May want to check TIM and apache logs as well as look at webprotect settings

    Is Web Protection on?   

    How to configure web protection for TIM - CA Application Performance Management - 9.6 - CA Technologies Documentation 

     

    There is also a TIM firewall. Check settings

     

    The message indicates that server connection may be closed after this request. Are the ports opened as specified in documentation?

     

    This has nothing to do with EEM

     

    Did you harden your system?

    Again, I would check the TIM apache logs for clues

    Hi Guillermo,

    In conjunction with what Hal advised, it sounds like the TIM web server has a problem

    Do you have SELinux enabled? (command sestatus will confirm)

    Please check the TIM apache web server logs (access_log & error_log) in /etc/httpd/logs for any messages

    What is the output of this command: ls -alR /opt/CA/APM/tim/www/cgi-bin

    The /opt/CA/APM/apmpacket/logs/apmpacketlog.txt will confirm if packets are being processed and this is just a web server config problem.

    Hi Lynn

    Selinux ok

    At error.log in /etc/httpd/logs I found this

    The file has only 1 user: admin but the password is encrypted.

    After I restart tim, apmpacket and httpd services, I can reach http://ip-address/cgi-bin/ca/apm/tim/index but I can´t login.

    I trying any combination of that I know in this installation.

    How I can Change it?, The setup don´t ask me to set any password.

    Hello Hallett,

    At this moment, I cannot access 

    http://192.168.1.59(my-ip-address)/cgi-bin/ca/apm/tim/index

    I enter any combination of user/password (admin/blank, admin/quality/ any store in my local CA EEM db), but I cannot log in.

    All services are ok and no error at tim logs.

    I ran: services httpd restart, service apmpacket restart and chkconfig tim on and all shows OK.

    My VM machine crash today and is irrecoverable !!!

    I will try to go back, but basically I need to reinstall all again.
