  • 1.  Folder to exlude from antivirus scanning on monitored servers

    Hi Team,

we have recommendation from CA for folders to exclude from Antivirus scanning for Nimsoft application servers as mentioned below.

    https://www.ca.com/us/services-support/ca-support/ca-support-online/knowledge-base-articles.tec000003358.html

Do we have best practices for the servers under monitoring to exclude folder or services/processes.

I am facing problem with one of the windows cluster server and the server is getting hang because of multiple processes of probes running on the backend.

    Please suggest.

    Regards,

    Imran khan

What probes do you have on the Windows cluster server ?

Is there a specific reason for assuming that the server is getting hung because of the probes ?

    Hi Phani,

Server is going into hung state when MC AFEE is scanning the processes of Nimsoft running on the backend of server.

    Any suggestion in this?

    Regards,

    Imran

    Dear Imran,

you would then need to exclude the Nimsoft processes from the active scan. There is no other workaround for this if there are aggressive AV scans running on Nimsoft files and folders.
