  • 1.  critical period for an application

    Hi,
    I would like to know whether it is possible with CA SD 14.1 to add somehow the critical periods for a service. That is, when an incident occurs, the priority will be higher during critical periods than during normal period.

    Hi Vincent - I dont know of anything off hand to do that out of the box.  I think it would require some custom fields, and custom code to trigger the system to check the dates in those fields and then act accordingly by way of a macro/condition/event setup.

    Has anyone else out there come up with something for this type of scenario?

    Its a good use case to post as an idea here on the communities so folks can vote for it and product management can review it for consideration in future releases.

    Following Jon, a conceptual  approach can be to create some change windows that you are associating to those service CI to record those period

    Then have you trigger/spl code verify if you are under this window  for the affected_resource associated with your incident and increase priority when tthis is the case.
