  • 1.  Excel 2010 with PPM 15.1?

    Hi all,

We're beginning to plan our upgrade from 14.2 to 15.1, and looking in the documentation I see that only office 2013 and 2016 are now supported. We really only use Excel (noone exports from PPM to PowerPoint, and we use OWB rather than Project), so I was just wondering if anyone has upgraded to 15.1 but remained on Office 2010, and if they've run in to any issues. Trying to upgrade to 2013 may be problematic due to our licensing so wanted to see if anyone else had run in to this yet. I fear we may opt to delay that and upgrade to 14.3 which still supports 2010 but then that goes EOS at the end of this year as well.

Seen no problems with office 2010 and 15.1 with export to excel (data only). i.e. output is good and rendered correctly.

This was the case in object list views, object portlets and nsql portlets, doesn't look like the underlying XML changed.

Whilst that's not the same as CA saying it's supported, I hope that's useful.

Note: the export to excel still doesn't play nice with the app server, hide it!

Exactly what I was looking for, thanks! Brought this up the other day and it seems like we are open to upgrading, but good info to have if plans change (but that NEEEEEVER happens) for sure.
