Not able to start demo server from the console getting error message as jre 1.8 not supported , so if I downgrade jre version 1.7 am not able to start up LISA am using version 126.96.36.199. Please suggest solution for this problem.
I recommend doing a fresh install. If you still have the same issue or need additional assistance with the demo server, open up a support case and we can help you out.
LISA 188.8.131.52 comes shipped with Java 1.8.0_60-b27 when installed on Windows. I was able to successfully bring up the DemoServer on my Windows machine. What Operating System do you have LISA 184.108.40.206 install on?
LISA installed on windows server 2008 edition, attached snapshot of the error message got while starting up demo server.
Is it the same if you double click the demo server shortcut on the desktop?
I don't have shortcut for demo server tried by directly opening the bat file on the specific folder.
How did you install DevTest?
Did you (A) do a fresh install of DevTest, including the demo server, (B) do a fresh install of DevTest, but install the demo server manually afterwards, (C) do an in place upgrade installation of DevTest from a previously installed earlier version of DevTest?
Usually, if you do a fresh installation of DevTest - including installation of the demo server - the demo server starts without any issues. So, I assume you did something different.
Installed using option (B) is there any solution to sort out ? or should I reinstall again ?
To install the demo server separately (as in (B) above) you should follow instructions in https://docops.ca.com/devtest-solutions/9-5/en/installing/installing-the-demo-server/. However, the simplest, easiest and safest way to get a running demo server is a fresh install as norre01 recommends.
Thanks all will try to install as suggested
