Hi, My customer has very old versions of Oracle (Versions ranging from 8 to 12). Is there a way of monitoring the early Oracle 8 versions or has the code based changed so significantly that this is no longer possible. Are there any other options anyone can think of around this?

    Hello,

Oracle 11 and 12 are the supported releases.  I believe there is OCI driver changes between Oracle 8 and 11.

You could always try with Oracle 8; note that it is not supported.

    Thanks.

I would think this depends on the oracle client for a lot of it.

If the oracle client used with the oracle probe can connect you should be able to get some metrics.

You should also be able to use custom metrics.

Support will not be able to tell you which metrics will work and which will not.
