WebSphere 8.5.5 JVM not starting when instrumented with APM 10.3 agent.

Using WAS 8.5.5, IBM JVM 1.7 and Java 1.7

Is there anything we need to do in order to make this work?

Any help is appreciated

1. Is this a fresh install or an upgrade of Websphere or the Agent?  If an upgrade, what version of Websphere and/or Agent did you upgrade from?

2. What are the startup agent parameters did you use?

3. Are the agent logs created?  

4. Are there any error messages in the Websphere logs?

1. New Install
2. -javaagent:/AGENT_HOME/Agent.jar -Dcom.wily.introscope.agentProfile=AGENT_HOME/core/config/IntroscopeAgent.profile -Dcom.wily.introscope.agent.agentName=<JVM name>

3.  Need to confirm

4. Yes error in Websphere log. See reply to Harlett

Let me disable Autoprobe and get back to you

I am wondering if the problem may be related to deep instrumentation/deep trace/entry point detection so before disabling autoprobe completely you could test with "introscope.agent.deep.instrumentation.enabled=false"

JVM will not start with 

"introscope.agent.deep.instrumentation.enabled=false"
