Flowdock app drains battery on Android

Recently my Flowdock app on my Android phone has started draining my battery considerably.  It's the number one battery user on my phone even when I don't use the app.  I've tried uninstall/reinstall, turning off push notifications, neither has helped.  In the battery use details everything looks normal except "Total connection time" which is 48m 46s, far higher than any other app.

Does anyone have any ideas about what might be causing this and if there's anything I can do to get this under control?
