  • 1.  Scheduling a job to run for a certain amount of time each day

I am trying to run a job every 4 hours starting at 10:20am and ending at 11:20pm every day.  I've tried "EVERY 4 HOURS STARTING 10:20AM ENDING 11:20PM" but it only runs for 1 day.  Then I added DAILY to the end and it changed nothing.  Is there a way to do this without creating a schedule for the job to run every hour I want it to start?

    Thanks,

    Corey

Is this Mainframes or Workload Automation AE - If you want the job to run daily you should use 'days_of_week'

You need to setup the job to run daily and control the schedule using Event ‘every 4 hours starting 10:20 am’ with suspend at 11:20 pm and resume at 10:20 am.

If it's for ESP, you can use Templates.  I like doing this because our operators prefer seeting the jobs loaded in, especially if someone needs the next run bypassed due to maintenance or an abend, etc.
