Tech Tip: CA IDMS CAGJJ00 ERR HOLD HC79102

Question:

When tried to apply check on IDMS 19.0 install process I got the messages below;

GIM30206E ** APPLY PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD CAGJJ00. HOLD REASON IDS WERE NOT RESOLVED.

GIM35901I ERROR HOLD HC79102 WAS NOT RESOLVED.

GIM37001S ** APPLY PROCESSING STOPPED BECAUSE FUNCTION SYSMOD CAGJJ00 FAILED.

 

The command issued was

APPLY

CHECK /*** Remove to APPLY all functions ***/

GROUPEXTEND(NOAPARS NOUSERMODS)

SELECT (

CAGJJ00 /*CA IDMS Base Option */

)

BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM).

 

There is no fIX apar for apar HC79102 in HOLDDATA. What can i do ?

 

Answer:

HC79102 is HOLDDATA information.

 

The problem it highlights is solved by ptf RO93739.

 

To resolve this, you can code

BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM,HOLDERROR). in AGJ5APP:

 

//SMPCNTL DD *

SET BOUNDARY (CAIT18) .

APPLY GROUPEXTEND(NOAPARS NOUSERMODS)

SELECT (

CAGJJ00 /*CA IDMS Base Option */

CAGJJ01 /*CA IDMS CICS Support */ )

BYPASS(HOLDSYSTEM,HOLDERROR).

This should get you by the HOLD error, and then you can apply RO93739.
