  • 1.  How to use Layer7 in place of Siteminder

    Hi All,

     

           I am using siteminder to authenticate my site but now I want to use Layer7 instead of Siteminder. Can someone please help on this to remove siteminder.

     

    My current scenario is -- My application hosted in apache and it is connecting siteminder for authentication.

     

    My Plan is -- Same application has to connect Layer7 API gateway for authentication (How?)

    and

    also any possibility to connect my cloud web application to connect on premises Layer7 for authentication purpose?

     

    Please suggest me on this.

    Hello rajasekhar33,

    Surely you can use gateway as authentication server, but it's very depends on what authentication flow you want to implement, and where the IDP is.

    For example, after install OTK solution kit, you can use Oauth flows, and regard the gateway as Oauth server.

    Or, you may simple send the credential and authenticate against gateway's internal identity provider.

    etc.
